摘要: This article compares and contrasts formaldehyde emission regulations for interior wood composite panels in the US, European Union, Japan, China. Historical context, product-specific limits, test methods, product certification requirements are detailed each standard. In particular, recently enacted California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulation is compared with established international differences four key areas, documentation, deconstructive testing, enforcement, highlighted. Implications of CARB US Environmental Protection Agency regulatory actions discussed, future work suggested rapidly evolving highly debated arena policy.
