摘要: Background Epidemiologic features of prion diseases in Japan, particular morbidity and mortality, have not been clarified. Methods Since 1999, the Research Committee has conducting surveillance diseases, data were used to assess incident cases diseases. For observation fatal cases, vital statistics used. Results Both incidence mortality rates increased during 2000s Japan. However, this increase was observed only relatively old age groups. Conclusions The number patients among groups might be due recognition If so, should plateau near future.
