摘要: Multiple myeloma is a neoplasm of plasma cells characterised by the presence M protein in serum and urine. Angiogenesis proliferation play major role pathogenesis various neoplasms. The study evaluated angiogenesis 48 cases myeloma, correlated it with morphological clinical parameters. histomorphological features like cell morphology, percentage pattern infiltration were studied bone marrow aspirate trephine biopsy. was assessed calculating microvessel density (MVD) using immunohistochemistry for CD34. Proliferation Ki67 CD38 highlighted cells. mean % found to be significantly higher (19.6 range 2–40 %) poorly differentiated morphology compared well (4.06 0.2–20 (p = 0.003). MVD 10.6 (range 1.2–47.4) 20.3 6.9–39.6) 0.04). 5.7 1.2–12.8) interstitial 20.04 (2.9–47.4) diffuse 3.5 gm/dl 13.3 albumin <3.5 0.009). Both showed an increasing trend staging. Thus biopsy useful prognosticating patients multiple myeloma.
