摘要: Innate immune recognition of pathogens is critical to the prompt control infections, permitting host survive develop long-term immunity via an adaptive response. Poxviruses encode a family proteins that inhibit signaling by Toll-like receptors their downstream components, severely limiting nuclear translocation transcription factors such as IRF3 and NF-κB thereby decreasing production interferons cytokines. We describe bioinformatics techniques for identifying candidate poxviral inhibitors innate response based on similarity includes A52, A46, N1. Robust luciferase assays can determine whether given gene affects signaling, in combination with other approaches identify cellular targets evasion genes. Because apoptosis cell viral infection, genes also be employed. Novel are being identified several these promise further complexities way poxviruses interact system.
