摘要: The present work aims at a qualitative analysis of various soundscapes in two French cities order to evaluate and potentially improve urban development. method employs an open-ended questions verbal comments judgments on semantic differential grid. On-site experiments were carried out locations cities, such as main thoroughfares, pedestrian districts, playgrounds market squares. Differential patterns clearly seen from histogram the grid, which points limits average calculation scale. A psycholinguistic was explicate heterogeneous judgements across people about temporal, spatial activity appraisals that quantitative data obscure. Such allowed us differentiate cognitive modes for representing soundscapes: (i) "descriptive listening" mode refers identification acoustic sources or events; (ii) "holistic hearing" soundscape whole, without processing any specific sources. Since same physical phenomenon may be interpreted by distinct representations, results highlight need employing scales with judgement further elaborate new well indicators based community noise measurements.
