摘要: Greenhouse gas emission reductions are at the centre of national and international efforts to mitigate climate change. In road transportation, many politically incentivised measures focus on increasing energy efficiency established technologies, or promoting electric hybrid vehicles. The abatement potential former approach is limited, mobility technologies not yet market-ready. a case study for Germany, this paper focuses natural powered vehicles as bridging technology towards low-emission transportation. Scenario analyses with low level aggregation show that gas-based transportation in Germany can accumulate up 464 million tonnes CO2-equivalent until 2030 depending speed diffusion process. If similar policies were adopted EU-wide, reduction could reach maximum about 2.5 billion CO2-equivalent. A model-based analysis shows comparative cost advantage relative petrol diesel per unit significantly reduced by increased demand from Capital costs transformation transport system therefore accompanied lower fuel costs. Specific based decline over time. After between 15 20 years, they projected be relatively even negative when rate assumed.
