摘要: Women are vulnerable to adverse stress events, especially during perimenopause. Substantial evidence has associated the impaired neuronal plasticity with abnormal behaviors under stressful conditions in animals. The Notch signaling pathway is critical for structure and function of brain areas. In this study, mid-aged female rats were subjected chronic restraint stress(CRS) combination isolated rearing 6 weeks. behavior tests HPA activity conducted evaluate model. mRNA protein levels Notch1 related genes hippocampus(HIP) prefrontal cortex(PFC) analyzed by RT-qPCR western blotting. promoter methylation measured bisulfite sequencing PCR analysis. CRS induced depression-like anxiety-like stressed females, as shown decreased locomotor activity, sucrose consumption increased activity. Moreover, after CRS, exhibited Jagged1, Hes5 HIP Notch1, Hes1 PFC. However, there no significant promotor changes between control rats. These findings suggest that may contribute behavioral following upstream cause gene expression needs be further investigated.
