摘要: LaeA of Aspergillus nidulans is a putative methyltransferase and component the velvet complex; it thought to mainly affect expression genes required for production secondary metabolites. We found that although flavus CA14 laeA deletion mutants showed no aflatoxin production, some early involved in formation, but not later genes, could still be detected. The grown minimal medium supplemented with simple sugars on complex media exhibited altered conidial development. On potato dextrose agar (PDA) reduced chain elongation, increased conidiophores, decreased colony hydrophobicity when compared parental strain. loss other developmental changes ability fungus produce aflatoxins.
