摘要: It has recently been suggested that the potentials of modern high-fl ux membranes could be exploited with so-called internal hemodiafi ltration (iHDF) technique. In principle, iHDF works just as hemodialysis but requires convective dose to clinically relevant, quantifi able and possibly adjustable by operator. this chapter, we briefl y survey theoretical, technological practical aspects iHDF, focusing on mechanism ensuring its potential, i.e. fi ltration/backfi (IF/BF) phenomenon. Based theory, it is highlighted enhancement during relies upon a wise design hemodialyzer, both in terms membrane performance hydrodynamics, whereas adjustment convection feasible proper regulation treatment parameters. IF/BF measurements appear indirect means; however, investments are needed bring technology from mere research eld clinical practice. An alternative approach cation using mathematical models provided developed calculation tools handy enough for clinician, or even implemented dialysis machine itself. ‘calculators’ also represent means make staff conscious phenomena take place inside hemodialyzer. concluded possible complementary, simplifi ed technique which increase diffusion treatments near future.
