摘要: Genome sizes and the organization of repetitive DNA were determined in hard ticks Ixodes scapularis Boophilus microplus using reassociation kinetics. The I. genome contains ∼ 2.15 pg (2.1 × 10 3 Mbp) consists no foldback (FB), 27% highly (HR), 39% moderately (MR), 34% unique DNA. B. 7.5 (7.1 DNA, 0.82% FB, 31% HR, 38% MR, 30% In both species, sequences occur a mixture long short period interspersion but most (65‐80%) follows pattern interspersion. size three tick species so far examined are distinct from other arthropods having greater proportion lower HR very low sequence complexity.
