摘要: Calcite is the most common of CaCO3 mineral phases. It has a very simple structure (Fig. 1a), that can essentially be rationalized as deformed NaCl structure1. Because this relation to halite structure, was one first structures solved by Bragg2. Aragonite thermodynamically slightly less stable than calcite at ambient temperatures and pressures. Its calcium ions in (001) layer are almost exactly same positions those calcite, but it differs from terms carbonate ion organization 1b). Vaterite least these three polymorphs. significantly other two, planes molecules perpendicular 1c).
