Effect of Health Literacy Education on Self-Care in Pregnant Women: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial.

摘要: Background: Prenatal care reduces the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. The present study aimed to determine effect health literacy education on self-care in pregnant women.Methods: randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted at two comprehensive service centers Pakdasht (Tehran province, Iran) during January-June 2016. Out ten city, were selected using a simple sampling and randomly assigned control group an intervention group. From each center, 40 women recruited into study. Dedicated questionnaires developed by author as data collection tool. validity reliability confirmed test-retest method opinion experts, respectively. completed before intervention, 1 2 months after intervention. consisted four 45-minute educational sessions counseling. analyzed SPSS software (version 16.0) with independent t test, Chi-square Mann-Whitney repeated measures ANOVA.
