Analysis effect of temperature on the results of titanomagnetite (Fe2TiO4-Fe3O4) formation in iron sand reduction using coal and sodium sulphate as an additive

摘要: Indonesia is a developing country that has rich deposit of natural resources particularly in mineral ores. Many iron sand found coastal contains some valuable minerals such as hematite (Fe 2 O 3 ), ilmenite (FeTiO ) rutile (TiO ). Research study related to developed aims determine the effect temperature against form titanomagnetite reduction process using coal reductor and sodium sulphate (Na SO 4 an additive. The results XRD characterization semi- quantitative with variable 700°C, 800°C 900°C obtained optimum amount titanomagnenite TiO -Fe much 48.5.
