摘要: Abstract The present work reports the investigation of flow regime, bubble size and its distribution, aspect ratio interfacial area in three distinct axial zones microstructured column presence absence surfactant. effect surfactant type (i.e., cationic anionic), superficial gas velocity, viscosity (in carboxymethyl cellulose), zone is investigated thoroughly. image analysis technique used to measure distributor region fully developed column. distribution found vary with different experimental conditions, it follows log-logistic beta function. observed results show that change surface tension, zone, system shape size, which alters thus, enhance area. Correlations are by considering operating velocity) geometric variables (viz., geometry, ratio), physicochemical properties viscosity, density) for all parameters Generalized empirical correlations also proposed interpret Sauter mean diameter, specific dense bubbly flows. predicted good agreement data.
