摘要: A genomic clone encoding a new member of attacin, an insect antibacterial protein, was isolated from library the silkworm, Bombyx mori, and nucleotide sequence 5′-upstream region determined. The contained Bm 1, highly repetitive element B. mori lipopolysaccharide (LPS) response (RE)(NF-κB binding site), CAAT box TATA box. Northern blot analysis showed that attacin gene expression rapidly induced by bacterial cell wall components such as LPS Escherichia coli peptidoglycan (PG) Micrococcus luteus, suggesting plays important role in early phase self-defense system upon infection.
