摘要: A biomedical component comprising sintered yttria tetragonal zirconia ceramic (YTZP), the YTZP at least 90 mol % ZrO2, ZrO2 being partially stabilized with 2.1 yttria, wherein further comprises between 0.05 wt and 1 alumina, has a density of 99% theoretical grain size, as measured by linear intercept method, no more than micron, is homogeneously distributed within zirconia.
