摘要: Excess of sleep in the 24-h period is termed hypersomnia and propensity to fall asleep called hypersomnolence or excessive sleepiness. In everyday practice, sleepiness refers inability stay awake at appropriate times. The prototype disorder for central nervous system (CNS) origin narcolepsy, a condition sometimes associated with cataplexy. Narcolepsy without cataplexy partial manifestations so-called narcolepsy spectrum, merge an ill-defined continuum idiopathic hypersomnia, severe constant daytime unrefreshing sleep. Other disorders featuring occur intermittently recurrent hypersomnias, appear relatively mild form association neuromuscular diseases, mainly myotonic dystrophy. Many questions pertaining etiology, mechanism action, treatment hypersomnias remain unanswered, extensive research CNS physiology pathophysiology for.
