摘要: The photolysis of TMPD has been studied in cyclohexane, ethanol and water, by microsecond flash photolysis, nanosecond laser conventional steady-state techniques. In cyclohexane the fluorescence singlet is observed with t½= 3.2 ns. triplet state also observed; it decays a bimolecular triplet-triplet annihilation process accompanied delayed fluorescence. Several solutes, e.g., N2O, SF6 CO2 react excited state; N2O reacts forming charge transfer complex. Fluorescence 5.1 ns ethanol. observed, but this rapidly over several 100 Another long-lived species produced independent or states TMPD. No cation hydrated electron e–aq are observed. Possible mechanisms leading to ionization water discussed.
