摘要: We design sensors where information is transferred between the sensing event and actuator via quantum relaxation processes, through distances of a few nanometers. thus explore possibility using intrinsically mechanical phenomena that are also at play in photobiology, bioenergetics, processing. Specifically, we analyze schemes for based on charge transfer polarization (electronic relaxation) processes. These devices can have surprising properties. Their sensitivity increase with increasing separation sites (the receptor) (often solid-state substrate). This counterintuitive response other features give these favorable characteristics, such as enhanced selectivity. Using coherent core molecular presents technical challenges but suggests appealing supramolecular structures.
