摘要: We propose using a class of community-level measures--environmental indicators--as part the evaluation community-based health-promotion programs. Community-level measures health-related behavior can be divided into three conceptual categories. The first two categories comprise statistical aggregates (e.g., means, sums, percentages) measurements made on individuals, distinguished by whether individual-level covariates are also available. Individual-disaggregated include covariates, such as comprehensive survey health-risk behavior, including demographic information; individual-aggregated measures, sales data, do not. Our main focus is third category, environmental indicators, derived from observations community environment. Environmental indicators aspects physical, legal, social, and economic environment in that reflect, likely influence, attitudes individual members. They measure an important intermediate step interventions, namely factors programs target to modify behavior. present examples for tobacco use diet.
