摘要: Purpose Treating hydrocephalus can be difficult in children under the age of 2 years because a high amount uncertainty exists as to which treatment perform. In this retrospective cohort study, we analyzed with undergoing an endoscopic third ventriculocisternostomy (ETV) respect ETVoutcome. Methods 59 consecutive patients years, ETV was performed between 1999 and 2010 at Erasmus MC, Sophia Children’s Hospital. Demographics, etiology hydrocephalus, radiological data were extracted retrospectively from patients’ medical records operative reports related outcome. Success Score (ETVSS) used calculate probability success actual Results series, 42.4 % had successful ETV. The only statistically significant finding concerned age. failed appeared younger (0.52± 0.60 vs. 0.86±0.56 year, p00.005), when using cutoff 6 months only, five out 32 infants (p00.002). Of arachnoid cyst, 57.1 treated successfully success, four (80 %) indeed (p00.049). Conclusions Our confirm overall ineffectiveness ETVin months. Nevertheless, ETVSS is recommended aid decisionmaking process even
