摘要: We present our personal view of some the exciting research avenues in ecohydrology, which are related to quantifying effects hydrologic variability and anthropogenic disturbance on ecohydrological processes. Using several examples, we discuss how concepts tools inspired from information theory, statistical mechanics nonequilibrium thermodynamics may help us advance challenges posed by need sustainably manage soil water resources, while preserving ecosystem services.
