摘要: Abstract Liver-copper concentrations were estimated in 95 patients with liver disease by neutron activation analysis of samples. The method is simple, sensitive, and specific, allows estimations to be made on very small needle-biopsy samples (2-3 mg.). normal range was found 15-55 μg. copper per g. dry liver. Levels greater than 250 only Wilson's long-standing biliary obstruction, both intrahepatic (as primary cirrhosis) extrahepatic. There no diagnostic confusion between these two groups patients, as those obstruction high liver-copper levels had definite clinical biochemical features cholestasis. In the level related duration symptoms. other diseases, or moderately increased.
