摘要: Abstract The present study describes the (xanthine:NAD+ oxidoreductase, EC 1.2.1.37) synthesis and degradation of chick liver xanthine dehydrogenase in vivo organ cultures. results indicate that control activity is mediated by changes rate enzyme synthesis, but rates are unaffected. also suggest occurs through a previously unreported intermediate. Detected cultures tissue, this intermediate apparently not converted into an active enzyme. A model for proposes proportional to messenger RNA includes inactive precursor second prior degradation. Integrated mathematical solutions describing concentration intermediates as function time can be found explicitly simple models. appendix paper extrapolates one, two- three-step models generate solution ‘n’- step containing ‘n’ intermediates. constants experimentally.
