Optimising construction with self-compacting concrete

摘要: Self-compacting concrete or self-consolidating (as it is known in North America) (SCC) used on the basis of its unique properties flowability, passability and resistance to segregation. It requires no external energy achieve full compaction, so advantageous site, but there evidence that higher cost a significant barrier greater adoption. The research entailed work measurement 14 UK single-family home residential projects (eliciting data construction time labour productivity) modelling three slab scenarios (exploring relationship between material costs). study found SCC was placed up 73% faster than conventional and, when costs are included, supplier able price closely match concrete, hence making more viable for contractor. This as-built clarified by developing Pmax, providing new mechanism understanding project profitability viability SCC.
