摘要: This paper analyzes evangelical Christian geopolitical imaginations by studying audience interpretations of the Left Behind books and related sacred texts such as Bible. is a series fictional that portray narrative end world, culminating in return Jesus Christ. Utilizing qualitative content analysis 50 "Current Events" discussion threads taken from Internet-based Prophecy Club bulletin board, author finds fans utilize imagination focused almost entirely on Israel, with Iran Islam serving specific general 'Other', respectively. However, fragments when it comes to role United States Endtimes debates over where Antichrist will emerge. Related these varying views issue prophecy interpretation itself, which contested among Behind.
