摘要: A deficit of mitochondrial energy metabolism may play a role in migraine pathogenesis. We found previous open study that high-dose riboflavin was effective prophylaxis. now compared (400 mg) and placebo 55 patients with randomized trial 3 months duration. Using an intention-to-treat analysis, superior to reducing attack frequency ( p = 0.005) headache days 0.012). Regarding the latter, proportion who improved by at least 50%, i.e. “responders,” 15% for 59% 0.002) number-needed-to-treat effectiveness 2.3. Three minor adverse events occurred, two group (diarrhea polyuria) one (abdominal cramps). None serious. Because its high efficacy, excellent tolerability, low cost, is interesting option prophylaxis candidate comparative established prophylactic drug.
