摘要: Autumn coloring of deciduous broad-leaved trees in northern Japan was found to develop either from the inner part crown outward (inner-type), or outer inward (outer-type). Inner-type had early-successional characteristics, whereas outer-type late-successional characteristics. Although alders (Alnus hirsuta (Spach) Rupr. and A. japonica (Thunb.) Steud.) did not change color fall, these species were also studied. Both chlorophyll content a/b ratio increased then decreased with increasing leaf age. In early however, leaves on same branch older younger only inner-type species. Net photosynthetic rates at light saturation individual a greater rate than Leaf dry weight per unit area more before fall have surface crowns, species, age is similar throughout crown. senescence began crowns. The pattern development colorations may be related growth strategy
