摘要: We evaluated the influence of hesperidin and vitamin C (VitC) on glycemic parameters, lipid profile, DNA damage in male Wistar rats treated with sucrose overload. Rats were divided into six experimental groups: I-water control; II-sucrose III-hesperidin IV-VitC V-co-treatment plus hesperidin; VI-co-treatment VitC. measured levels triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL-c, LDL-c, fasting glucose, glycated hemoglobin (A1C). was blood brain cells using comet assay micronucleus test used to evaluate chromosomal damages rat bone marrow. Co-treatment VitC, but not hesperidin, normalized serum glucose. No effect co-treatments observed A1C.
