摘要: This research project is an examination of the websites biomedical institutes to identify extent to which Web used communicate science public audiences. Through a review literature, it was found that can communicate information effectively by targeting content at particular segments their audience; providing in-depth yet accessible information; endeavouring take open approach communication, in order build trust, does not attempt shield the public from uncertainty; and blending different approaches to, or models of, communication. This accomplished through analysis 68 biomedical research centres United Kingdom, Ireland, States, Canada Continental Europe. The were examined for their attribution transparency; and currency; interactivity navigation; design; accessibility. Further data obtained through questionnaires communication practitioners validate content results. Research has shown States surpass other countries efforts with audiences via Web. Of five highest scoring websites, four located States. On whole however, public communication appear be primary aim online communication deficit model still widely very little opportunity provided for user discussion interaction.
