摘要: The number of adults in the United States who are age 65 or older is rapidly increasing. With longer lifespan comes an increase chronic diseases such as dementia, diabetes, and depression. This study used archival data from a larger conducted at Memory Clinic John Peter Smith County Hospital Ft. Worth, Texas to examine several hypotheses research questions related influence type presence Type II depression on neuropsychological test performance. First, this attempted identify specific patterns performance measures for those with Alzheimer's dementia (AD), vascular (VaD), mild cognitive impairment (MCI). results indicated that MCI perform better than AD VaD all measures, measure verbal memory. Another purpose was determine how diabetes affects pattern functioning; overall finding absence did not affect functioning. Additionally, add literature examining and/or dementia; no significant differences emerged.
