摘要: Abstract Recent empirical research indicates that certain types of emissions follow an inverted-U or environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) as income grows. This regularity has been interpreted a possible de-linking economic growth and patterns pollutants for developed economies. In this paper the basis result is investigated by considering some statistical particularities various EKC studies performed. It argued relationship between estimated from panel data need not hold specific individual countries over time. Based on insights `intensity-of-use' analysis in resource economics, alternative model specified three (CO2, NOx SO2) four (Netherlands, UK, USA Western Germany). found time these correlate positively with emission reductions may have achieved structural technological changes economy. `Sustainable growth' defined rate does lead to emissions. Its calculated each type country, based parameter values. The resulting indicators reflect balance positive influence negative change progress levels.
