摘要: Abstract Radiation damage in single crystal BeO has been studied using 60Co gamma, 2 MeV electron, and epithermal neutron irradiations. The temperature of irradiation the accumulated dose were kept within range which change a lattice parameter found to predominate. observed changes produced by are attributed ionization impurities. Both electron produce optical absorption bands at about 5.25 6.5 eV. energy band peak occurs varies slightly with conditions from sample sample. No e.p.r. resonance could be correlated either band. Neither F+ nor V− centers observed. data annealing these two indicate that they arise different but related defects not due simple point defects.
