摘要: Abstract The idea that social support post-disaster is beneficial to survivors’ mental health widely accepted by both researchers and practitioners. However previous studies are mainly focused on perceived support, the limited received have produced mixed results. In this study we modelled influence of quantity quality long-term outcomes in a longitudinal 2013 Lushan earthquake survivors China. Survivors were invited complete questionnaire interview 7 months after followed up 31 later (n = 161). Hierarchical regression analyses controlled for disaster exposure variables showed greater predicted lower levels posttraumatic stress symptoms psychological distress two years later, however was not significant predicting these outcomes. These results remained robust when gender, negative life events family financial status. findings suggest what appears be critical process supporting quality, necessarily quantity, provided.
