摘要: Background: The concept of lung sounds conveying information regarding physiology has been used extensively in clinical practice, particularly with physical auscultation using a stethoscope. Advances computer technology have facilitated the construction dynamic visual images derived from recorded sounds. Arguably, most significant progress this field was development commercially available vibration response imaging (VRI) (Deep Breeze Ltd, Or-Akiva, Israel). This device provides non-invasive, image both lungs constructed detected surface sensors. In literature, VRI utilized multitude and research settings. systematic review aims to address three study questions relating whether can be as an evaluative device, generated characterized, which tools measures assess these images. Methods/Design: will involve implementing search strategies five online journal databases order extract articles application VRI. Appropriate identified against set pre-determined eligibility criteria assessed for methodological quality standardized scale. Included data extracted by reviewers evidence table. A narrative synthesis based on framework conducted, clustering into main groups; one each questions. meta-analysis conducted if two or more meet that allow quantitative take place. Discussion: provide complete overview scope settings, well discuss methods interpret obtained intends help clinicians make informed decisions applicability researchers identify further potential avenues investigation, evaluation interpretation static publication registration PROSPERO transparency accountability, facilitates appraisal proposed original design.
