摘要: Arbucsular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) are implicated as phyto-stimulators of various physiological processes its symbiotic plants. The influences AM fungi and water deficit on quantum yield photochemistry (Fv/Fm) photo-system II cassava leaves were therefore investigated. Field experiment was conducted at Ajibode village while the semi-controlled International Institute Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, Nigeria. One improved clone (TMS 4(2) 1425) a landrace (TME1) soil is Oxic Paleustalf in both fields controlled experiments. experiments arranged factorially complete randomized design, field block design. plants adequately watered alternate days. After two months, one half each treatment subjected to stress. All treatments replicated three times. Results obtained from chlorophyll fluorescence probe indicated that inoculated enhanced photochemical efficiency light reactions photosystem (PS II) intact leaf tissues under irrigation stress conditions. Water levels based more negative had adverse effects genotypes. However, effect significantly reduced by inoculation. Fv/Fm values could be potentially useful criterion selecting for drought tolerance cassava. Key word:AM (Manihot esculenta crantz) pigments
