摘要: Fruits of Baccaurealanceolata is commonly used by tribe banjar in south Borneo to protect the skin damages due sun light. People apply pulverized fruits that will be exposed sunlight. Antioxidant bioassay method (DPPH) prove effectiveness fruits.Baccaurea lanceolata fruitsvwere extracted 70% ethanol, followed fractionation with n-hexane, ether, ethyl acetate and methanol give n-hexane (fr-H), ether (fr. Et2O), EtOAc) MeOH) fractions respectively. Preparative TLC (SiO2) fr. EtOAc showed highest antioxidant activity among those fractions. Based on spectroscopic data comparison reported data, isolated compounds were identified as β-Sitosterol.
