摘要: Abstract Intermolecular nuclear magnetic relaxation may represent a powerful tool for the detection and study of weak, nonspecific molecular interactions in liquid solutions. Two intermolecular mechanisms, electric quadrupole-field gradient interaction dipole-dipole are briefly described recent applications presented. The quadrupolar 131 Xe water is shown, where atom can be regarded as an ideal hydrophobic model particle. Information about dynamic behavior near dissolved derived. 21 Ne used to probe field gradients acting liquids. By 81 Br attractive between anions aqueous solution found. Finally, application with respect self-association small particles solutions demonstrated. Salt effects on detected their connection Hofmeister series discussed.
