摘要: Empirical data that identify contemporary mechanisms of divergence shed light on how species could multiply. In this study, we measured population genetic structure, song syllable diversity and response to simulated intruder in Darwin's small tree finch (Camarhynchus parvulus) Santa Cruz Floreana Islands, Galapagos archipelago. Our aim was test whether the magnitude behavioural resident birds consistent with patterns or cultural differences between populations. We analysed structure occurrence types, experimentally bird from different geographical origin (i.e., island) type. discovered a weak signal Islands. Although some syllables occurred both islands, others were unique each island; Island males used more than males. Both discriminated their towards based song, but not type sung by intruder. conclude populations are diverging traits identified maintain upon secondary contact.
