摘要: At the beginning of 1990s, insecticides with novel modes action, such as buprofezin, pyriproxyfen and diafenthiuron, were introduced for controlling whitefly Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) in cotton other crops. In order to delay onset resistance these insecticides, well efficient conventional ones, an insecticide management (IRM) strategy was implemented 1987 fields Israel. The main purposes have been combat available, prolong life-span new by optimizing their use preserving natural enemies during peak activity. A rotation programme applied, using different rotated according generation duration relevant pests. included explanatory educational campaigns, accompanied extensive monitoring conducted throughout year greenhouses summer fields. Bioassays whiteflies collected from indicated that one treatment a one-month period, followed additional buprofezin (if required), did not markedly alter susceptibility B. either compound. addition, no appreciable increase available observed, although some changes noticed season. without IRM programme, c.tenfold found after two or three applications this compound each c.500-fold recorded successive greenhouse. These findings demonstrate necessity be both open greenhouses.
