摘要: The world’s population is aging at a phenomenal rate. Certain types of cognitive decline, in particular some forms memory impairment, occur much more frequently the elderly. This paper describes Autominder, orthotic system intended to help older adults adapt decline and continue satisfactory performance routine activities, thereby potentially enabling them remain their own homes longer. Autominder achieves this goal by providing adaptive, personalized reminders (basic, instrumental, extended) activities daily living. Cognitive systems on market today mainly provide alarms for prescribed fixed times that are specified advance. In contrast, uses range AI techniques model an individual’s plans, observe reason about execution those make decisions whether when it most appropriate issue reminders. currently deployed mobile robot, being developed as part Initiative Personal Robotic Assistants Elderly (the Nursebot project).
