摘要: Abstract In absence of significant sequence similarity, remote homology between proteins can be confused with analogy and in such a case, shared ancestry inferred light certain unique common features. the present study, to understand evolutionary origin catalytic domain large subunit ring-hydroxylating oxygenases (RHOs), belonging Bet v1-like superfamily, structure-based phylogenies have been derived from structural alignment representative superfamily. A careful inspection relatedness RHOs rest families showed closest similarity RHO PA1206-like protein. addition, phylogenetic relationship Rieske functionally structurally similar has also elucidated so as postulate most possible events leading genesis RHOs.
