摘要: Background : Going forward, the routine implementation of genomic surveillance activities and outbreak investigation is to be expected. We sought systematically identify emerging ethical challenges; assess gaps in frameworks or thinking where further work needed solve practical challenges. Methods searched indexed academic literature from PubMed, Google Scholar, Web Science 2000 April 2019 for peer-reviewed articles that substantively engaged discussion issues use pathogen genome sequencing technologies diagnostic, investigation. Results 28 were identified; nine United States, five Kingdom, The Netherlands, three Canada, two Switzerland, one Australia, South Africa, Italy. Eight specifically about HIV. Eleven not specific a particular disease. organized into four themes: tensions between public private interests; difficulties with translation research clinical health practice; importance community trust support; equity global partnerships; context. Conclusion While has potential transformative health, there are number key must addressed, particularly around conditions sequence data. Ethical standards should informed by values, empirical investigating stakeholders’ views required. Development field also under-pinned strong commitment values justice, equity.
