摘要: The present study aimed to investigate the dose response chemopreventive potential of allyl isothiocyanate (AITC) against 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA) induced mammary carcinogenesis in female Sprague-Dawley rats. Mammary tumor was by a single DMBA (25 mg/rat) injected subcutaneously near gland. We observed reduced body weight and increased total number tumors, incidence volume DMBA-induced also decreased antioxidant status (SOD, CAT, GPX GSH) lipid peroxidation (TBARS LOOH) plasma tissues. Increased levels CYP450, Cyt-b5 phase II (GST GR) biotransformation enzymes noticed liver tissues Further, profile (TC, TG, PL FFA) lipoprotein (LDL VLDL) were noticed. Whereas, level HDL FFA tissue. Oral administration AITC different doses (10, 20 40 mg/kg bw) inhibited restored biochemical markers. Biochemical findings are supported histopathological studies. These results suggested that at bw significantly exert carcinogenesis.
