摘要: There is a long history of the use Landsat data in burned land mapping mainly due to certain characteristics imagery including spatial, spectral, and temporal resolution, low cost are now freely available, existence an almost 35-year historical archive excluding 1–3. 8 Operational Land Imager OLI Thermal Infrared Sensor TIRS was launched on 11 February 2013 it captures three new bands along with two additional thermal bands. However, spectral signal surfaces satellite remote-sensing series consistent robust enough allow successful application techniques developed so far for 8? In this article, we compare between 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus ETM+ sensors using five case studies that correspond large fire events different biophysical environments Greece, which both were available. From comparative analysis histogram plots post-fire image vegetated pre-fire areas, signature separability indices land-cover types, estimated same sampling areas over images, general consistency observed sensors. Slight differences attributed acquisition dates related type vegetation rather than used record images. Neither sensor provided improved discrimination other.
