摘要: Abstract Climate change and the needed reductions in use of fossil fuels call for development renewable energy sources. However, production, such as hydropower (both small- large-scale) wind power have adverse impacts on local environment by causing biodiversity loss habitats species. This paper compares environmental many small-scale plants with a few large-scale projects one farm, based same set parameters; land occupation, reduction wilderness areas (INON), visibility red-listed Our basis comparison was similar volumes produced, without considering quality services provided. The results show that performs less favourably all parameters except occupation. occupation large is range 45–50 m 2 /MWh, which more than two times larger hydropower, where explained extent reservoirs. On three other worse both power. Wind similarly to regarding much better INON areas, demonstrate selected four provide further fair consistent between analysed technologies.
