摘要: The use of time domain reflectometry to measure soil density and water content in geotechnical engineering is relatively new. (TDR) one-step method, now accepted as the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) Standard Method (D6780-05), outlines procedure obtaining dry a given soil. method requires calibration two soils constants, f g, relate dielectric constant bulk electrical conductivity are dependent on type, pore fluid conductivity, content. field process can be completed less than 5 minutes, which provides significant advantage over two-step procedure. In this report, an extensive research program carried out obtain TDR constants sandy commonly encountered Florida. More importantly, influence fluid, EC sub w , accuracy results evaluated. A critical assessment method's precision also conducted.
