摘要: This article uses international panel data on 55 countries from 1995 to 2008, merging indicators of economic literacy with a large set macroeconomic and institutional variables. Results show that there is substantial heterogeneity financial competence across countries, human capital (PISA test scores college attendance) are positively correlated literacy. Furthermore, inhabitants more generous social security systems generally less literate, lending support the hypothesis incentives acquire related amount resources available for private accumulation.
