Oxidation of isoniazid by quinolinium dichromate in an aqueous acid medium and kinetic determination of isoniazid in pure and pharmaceutical formulations.

摘要: The kinetics of oxidation isoniazid in acidic medium was studied spectrophotometrically. reaction between QDC and acid exhibits (4:1) stoichiometry (QDC:isoniazid). showed first order quinolinium dichromate (QDC) concentration an less than unity (INH) concentrations. proceeds via a protonated species, which forms complex with isoniazid. latter decomposes slow step to give free radical derived from intermediate chromium(V), is followed, by subsequent fast steps the products. constants involved mechanism are evaluated. Isoniazid analyzed kinetic methods pure pharmaceutical formulations.
