摘要: Abstract A 4-month-old premature infant with moderate secundum atrial septal defect (ASD) and pulmonary hypertension (on inhaled nitric oxide sildenafil) underwent successful closure of the ASD via a hybrid per-atrial approach through surgical right anterior mini-thoracotomy. Two days later 8 mm Amplatzer Septal Occluder (ASO) was noted to be malpositioned disc partly in left atrium. The device approached same mini-thoracotomy approach. An 8 fr sheath introduced per-atrially. 10 mm Amplatz Gooseneck Snare positioned over microscrew snared. partially recaptured, successfully redeployed across septum. This is first report retrieval repositioning occluder infant. Early detection malposition when still attached septum enabled us attempt snare It could considered as good alternative given limited exposure fluoroscopy avoiding CPB.
